Erdel Winery
Brand: Hanchalar
Erdel Winery was established in the town of Hançalar in 2005 by the Kuzu family, one of the founding families of the village. Through its brand Hanchalar, Erdel Winery is dedicated to delivering the highest quality wines across the entire journey from vineyard to glass.
The Hanchalar name carries centuries of history. The town of Hançalar sits within Çal, a district of Denizli province in Turkey's Aegean region. The Hançalar Bridge, spanning the Menderes River, once served as a vital trade route during the Ottoman period, connecting local villages to distant cities along the historic Silk Road.
That same spirit of connection and exchange drives Erdel Winery today. While conducting continuous research and development to grow the highest quality grapes and refine wine production, Erdel also cultivates new vineyards dedicated to both indigenous Turkish and international grape varieties. The result is a portfolio rooted in place, shaped by history, and reaching toward the future.

“From vineyard to glass, every step is guided by respect for the land, the local grape heritage, and the centuries-old winemaking traditions of the Çal region.”
